The perfect spot to overlook Shanshui Beach area! From Bayhouse Hostel Penghu, you can walk along the seaside embankment, passing through Shanshui Wetland Park, then ascend the wooden walkway to reach the top, which takes about a 30 minute walk. Alternatively, you can ride a scooter and take a 6 minute ride from the back, circling up along the road and finally ascending via stairs.
The highland steps are suitable for picnics; you can bring some snacks and drinks to enjoy while admiring the sea view. On the highland, there are former military tunnels to explore, and nearby sea caves are hidden gems for fishermen. It’s also an excellent spot to watch the sunset over the sea, especially during autumn and winter.
